Here are a few tips to help you install ccScan

1. Please open your email containing the ccScan Download Link and Activation Key and keep it available so you can copy the Key into the ccScan Startup Wizard.

2. Download ccScan by clicking on the Download Link in your email. Alternatively, copy the complete link into your browser’s address bar. Then save the installation file on your desktop or in a folder.

3. Unless you are only importing files, it is best to have your scanner installed, powered on and fully operational before running ccScan. Verify that your scanner is equipped with TWAIN drivers. All scanners come with an Installation Program and User Guide for your reference.

4. Launch the InstallShield Wizard by double-clicking on the Setup_ccScan.exe icon. Proceed through the installation. Please do not change the location of the Destination Folder, C:\Program Files. This is where ccScan will be installed.

5. Setup creates the folder, C:\ccScanData, which holds ccScan runtime data, sample images, documentation and a local storage folder. Changing C:\ccScanData is recommended only for advanced users or multi-user network administrators.

ccScan is normally launched after Setup. Otherwise, run ccScan from the Start menu. Once started, the ccScan Startup Wizard is displayed. Enter your Activation Key on the Activation page and press Activate. Activation occurs via the Internet and may take a few seconds. If using a Cloud-based Storage Provider like Amazon S3, review the account setup information page for each Provider. Then enter your storage account user, keys and passwords as needed.

6. The ccScan main window is fully visible after the Startup Wizard closes. At this point we recommend that you open the Help menu, Getting Started, and take a few minutes to review ccScan features, menus and a few of the ‘How to…’ topics in the Help index.
